Folding Walking Rollator

A four-wheel rollator on a folding grey aluminium frame. Four wheels rather than two means it rolls continuously as you walk instead of being lifted and set down each step, which is the difference that matters over any real distance. It is entirely manual — you provide the movement and the braking, with no motor and nothing to charge.

The brakes are the safety system and they work two ways from the same pair of levers. Squeeze to slow while walking; push the levers down until they click to lock both rear wheels, which is what makes the seat safe to sit on. The padded seat sits between the frame rails with a padded backrest strap behind it, and a zipped bag hangs underneath for shopping or personal items.

A pair of fold-down footrests lets the rollator double as a transport chair when someone else pushes. Handle height adjusts to suit the user, and the whole frame folds sideways with a single pull for a car boot or a hallway. Always engage both brakes before sitting, and keep to firm level surfaces.
